abstract

west part of iran is considered as one of the center of diversity for aegilops triunsialis, therefore, study of its genetic diversity in this area is extremely important regarding evolution of this plant. the genetic variation among 40 accessions of ae.triunsialis collected from west of iran were studied using 12 issr markers. dna was extracted, concentrations adjusted and five samples from each accession were bulked. totally, 118 polymorphic bands were produced using 12 primers that ubc817 primer with 16 and then ubc811 and ubc823 with 14 bands had the maximum number, while ubc825 with 4 bands had minimum polymorphic bands. the pic value varied from 0.23 to 0.40 and the mi value between 1.1 and 4.6. principal coordinates analysis showed that the first two could explain the total variation of 23.72 percent. cluster analysis using neighbor joining, placed the 40 accessions in three clusters that each contain 13, 9, and 18 members, respectively. discriminate function via fisher's linear confirmed the validity of clustering analysis result (95%).

Assessment of Genetic Diversity between Different Accessions of Calotropis Procera with ISSR Molecular Markers

The present study was performed to classify and study genetic diversity between Calotropis procera accessions from different regions of Kerman province (Iran) using ISSR markers. In total, DNA from 14 plant samples with nine ISSR primers was amplified by PCR and their banding pattern was obtained. The primers showed acceptable polymorphism (35.93) and minimum and maximum polymorphic information...

Evaluation of Genetic Diversity among Some Common Fig Using RAPD and ISSR Molecular Markers

The common fig (Ficus carica L.), one of the most important fruit species, belongs to Moraceae family and is widely distributed in Iran. In this study, genetic variations among some genotypes of common fig collected from six different regions of Ilam province (Iran) were evaluated based on RAPD and ISSR markers. A total of 73 and 29 alleles were produced by 14 RAPD (with their sizes ranging fro...

Study of Genetic Diversity of Glycyrrizha glabra L. Populations Using ISSR Molecular Markers

Twenty-two G. glabra populations were used to study the genetic diversity of ISSR molecular markers. 12 primers were used to amplification of genomic DNA fragments of G. glabra populations. High genetic diversity based on ISSR markers was observed among individuals. A total of 130 bands were formed and 105 bands were polymorphic. The mean polymorphism percentage among studied populations was 80...

Genetic Diversity of Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Genotypes Using RAPD and ISSR Molecular Markers

The importance of grain cultivation especially wheat is obvious in terms of providing human and animal food and its impact on the economy of human societies. The reduction of genetic diversity in cultivars prevents increasing yields in line with rising demand and consumption. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the compatibility of them and increase their genetic extent. In the current, the g...

Study of Genetic Diversity among Crataegus Species (Hawthorn) Using ISSR Markers in Iran

Crataegus spp. are used for horticultural and medicinal purposes. The medicinal importance of Crataegus is attributed to components such as flavonoids, procyanidin, aromatic acid, and cardiotonic amines. The genetic relationships among the five Iranian Crataegus species including C. aronia, C. pontica, C. meiery, C. monogyna, and C. pentagyna were assessed using inter simple sequence repeats (IS...

Study of Genetic Diversity of Wild and Regenerated Accessions of Acorus calamus (Acoraceae) by ISSR Markers

Sweet flag (Acorus calamus) is a perennial, semi-aquatic and aromatic plant of the family Acoraceae that, in addition to its multiple medicinal properties, is used in health, food and agricultural industries (as pest control). This research was conducted to comparasion study of genetic diversity of natural and regenerated plants from tissue culture of Arzefon, Pelesk and Alandan populations of ...
